At The Stitching Bee sewing studio, students with no prior experience to more advanced skills, take projects from patterns to finished pieces. Some dream up their own creations, and all put their own spin on what they're sewing! With a ratio of four students, each with their own sewing machine, to one instructor, students work in community, much like an old fashioned quilting bee. Students work at their own pace, choosing from a wide selection of projects. It’s a happy, creative place to be!
Over 10 years ago The Stitching Bee began offering sewing classes and camps in the Northlake/Tucker area of Atlanta, near Spaghetti Junction--in close proximity to the Decatur, Brookhaven, Stone Mountain, and Chamblee communities. Many of those first students are now in college, and a new crop of sewists follows in their footsteps.
